SAIM College and Tokma Technologies Sign MoU to Strengthen Academic-Industry Collaboration in Nepal

In a landmark partnership to bridge the gap between education and employment, South Asian Institute of Management (SAIM College) and TokmaTechnologies Pvt. Ltd. have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance skill development, innovation, and research in Nepal’s technology sector.

MoU Signed to Enhance Skill Development and Research in Nepal

The signing ceremony took place in Lalitpur. Mr. Ashok Raj Pandey, Principal of SAIM College, and Mr. Sagar Angedmbe, Director of TokmaTechnologies Pvt. Ltd., signed the MoU representing their respective institutions. Mr. Sumanta Gurung, Program Director at SAIM College, witnessed the event.

This strategic collaboration aims to empower students with industry-relevant internships, joint research projects, curriculum enhancement, workshops, and expert-led sessions. The MoU also promotes employment pathways, hackathons, innovation challenges, and other initiatives that prepare students for real-world tech environments.

Leadership Backed by CAN Federation’s Vice President

Describing the initiative, Chiranjibi Adhikari, Vice President of the Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) and CEO of One Cover Private Limited, stated:

“An alliance for impact — SAIM College and Tokma Technologies, under our vision, are launching a skill-focused academic-industry partnership to produce industry-ready talent in Nepal’s growing ICT sector.”

This initiative aligns with Nepal’s growing efforts to position itself as a regional IT hub, particularly through meaningful partnerships between academia and tech enterprises. SAIM College’s Vision for Practical Learning, Principal Ashok Raj Pandey highlighted the significance of industry collaboration in modern education:
