Corporate Linkages

With a view to forge a much needed link between academia and industry, SAIM has been striving continuously to develop and strengthen its corporate linkages with various national and international business organizations. SAIM has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Chaudhary Group (CG), a leading business conglomerate headquartered in Kathmandu with over 40 companies under its umbrella. With an overall aim of sharing the intellectual, capital and infrastructure resources of CG and SAIM, the MOU covers a wide range of collaborative activities such as internships, industrial exposure visits, and placements at CG for the students of SAIM. SAIM has also signed a MOU with Mr. B. K Shrestha, who represents different business organizations both in Nepal and India and is also the chairman of Everest Bank Ltd., to facilitate pre-service exposure and placement for the students of SAIM in business institutions represented by him. SAIM has recently also signed an MOU with Sales and Marketing inc. SMi, a US based company, to collaborate in the areas of sales and marketing and provide internship and placement to the students.

SAIM has also signed MOU with Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI). The MOU covers various activities some of which are to provide exposure to and share real life experience with students regarding SMEs, provide internship and project work opportunities to students, to help FNCSI in fields of academia like conducting research, surveys, short term trainings, seminars, and helping identify potential markets.
